Women’s soccer hosts ID Camp on July 23
RIO GRANDE VALLEY – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Vaqueros women’s soccer team announced Friday that it will host a women’s soccer ID camp on July 23 at the UTRGV Soccer and Track & Field Complex.
The ID Camp takes place from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., check-in starts at 8:30 a.m. The camp is for girls ages 14 through junior college.
Campers can register online at https://camps.jumforward.com/utrgvwomenssoccer for $110, which includes lunch and a camp t-shirt.
The ID Camp will consist of two sessions focusing on technical and tactical aspects of the game. The camp aims to show aspiring physical education students what it’s like to train at Division I level under the guidance of the UTRGV Women’s Soccer Head Coach Markus Forster and his staff.
Schedule is as follows:
8:30 am – Check in on the field
09:00 – Introduction of the staff and welcome
9.15am – 11.30am – Technical session/ Small pitch games
12:00-1:00 p.m. – Lunch on campus (lunch provided)
1:00-2:00 p.m. – College Presentation
2:00-2:45 p.m. – Campus tour
15:00-16:45 – Tactical Session/ 11v11 match
17:00 – Closing remarks from the coaching team

The camps and academies are open to all participants (only limited by number, age, grade level and/or gender). NCAA rules prohibit representatives of UTRGV athletics interests (boosters) who are not legally responsible for a prospective student-athlete (grades 7-12) from incurring the cost of attending a showcase, camp or clinic. Violations of this may result in the loss of NCAA eligibility for the prospective student athlete.
