United loanee Tahith Chong helps Club Brugge win

Tahith Chong contributed to Club Bruges’ recent win on Sunday.

The loaner from Manchester United provided the template for his team’s third goal in a 3-0 win over Zulte Waregem.

This was Club Bruges’ tenth win in a row in the Jupiler Pro League as they were 14 points ahead of Antwerp.

Chong created two chances and completed 88 percent of his passes to win, including a shot on goal.

After a tough loan period at Werder Bremen, Chong is now really on loan in Belgium.

Chong now has 3 assists in 3 league games for Club Brugge, two of which have started.

He has also played in three cup games, two starts in which he has a goal.

This impressive run of form helps Chong make up for lost time. He provided only one template for Werder Bremen and was mostly substituted, although he only made four Bundesliga starts.

It’s the confidence boost Chong needed and the 21-year-old should be optimistic about his return to United this summer.

Whether he has a chance to get into the team is another question, but if he comes back and takes a leap into the step from a successful appearance in Belgium, then he can surprise the coaching staff and lead him to victory.
