The Catalan Grizzlies secure their place in the playoffs, ours stay in the hunt, the Blue Stars pull away

On the penultimate football weekend in the FRench D1 Elite Championshipthat Catalan Grizzlies secured a spot in the playoffs South, during Toulouse Our stay in the competition and the Marseille Blue Stars continue to assert their dominance.

Marseille Blue Stars (9-0) 34 – Grenoble Centaures (2-7) 6

Conference B Last weekend’s opener was heavily stacked in the Blue Stars To like. Despite these overwhelming odds, the centaurs were able to deliver a respectable performance.

centaurs Quarterback Loic Caruso was able to string together a number of passes and show the best defense in the league that they won’t go down without a fight. Caruso finished the game with 132 yards passing and a touchdown.

That Blue Stars couldn’t get going until the second half, but when they did, Blue Stars Signal caller Kaleb Scott took over. The league MVP candidate threw for 233 yards and four touchdowns on just 12 completions.

Catalans Grizzlies (6-3) 48 – Aix en Provence Argonautes (4-4) 30

The second game of the weekend carried the most weight with both grizzlies and Argonauts still in the playoffs.

That Argonauts however, seemed underprepared and overwhelmed from the start. That grizzlies surpassed the Argonauts 41-6 in the first three quarters with very little remaining Aix en Provence to hope in the fourth.

But Michael Pina couldn’t go down without a fight and took the lead Argonauts scoring in the last quarter, throwing three touchdowns and positioning his team for a field goal.

Although that game was over just after halftime, that was Argonauts continue to show what an unpredictably explosive offense they have.

Toulouse Ours (5-3) 41 – Montpellier Hurricanes (0-9) 6

The last game of Conference B was a dream come true for them Toulouse Our. After some brave performances in the regular season, the Our are very much in playoff competition and have the winless hurricanes on the penultimate weekend of French football.

In a game where the Our‘ Defense outperformed their offense, there was very little for that hurricanes to play. Two goalless quarters gave Montpellier Some hope for their first win of the season, but in the end there were too many mismatches for them hurricanes deal with it.

With this win is the Our are now third and final in the playoffs. As long as the Argonauts can’t get a win against them Blue Stars next week, toulouse will get the long-awaited appearance in the playoffs.
