Pearl River High School is graduating its Class of 2022 | Parish News of St. Tammany

Pearl River High School graduated its class of 2022 at Southeastern Louisiana University on May 7th, recognizing its top-performing “Best in Class” honorees.

These Honorary Fellows are Zaria Deneil Anders, Dax Richard Boteler, Jenny Ellen Castaneda, Abbygail Makayla Davis, Elora May Dufour, Allie Nicole Fleming, Madeline Marie Gerstner, Grace Marie Giroir, Julianna Elizabeth Graham, Brandon Klaus Kaske, Joseph David Kellar, Madeline Gene Landreneau , Lilith Ariana Lodge, Analaina Noel Martindale, Leila Hokulani Pasalo Pichon, Whitney Lynn Pullens, Kaelyn Alexis Seals, Aaron David Simon, Christopher James Smith and Jessica Maelene Smith.

Zaria Anders, the daughter of Tari and Rozarion Anders, was also Pearl River High School‘s Student of the Year and graduated top of her class. She was a four-year recipient of the 4.0 Honor Roll and served as President of the National Honor Society. She was also named to the LHSAA All-Academic Composite Team for volleyball, softball and powerlifting. Zaria received an academic scholarship to the University of New Orleans, where she is pursuing a degree in pre-veterinary medicine. She graduated from Pearl River High with 14 dual enrollment hours.

Brandon Kaske, the son of Elizabeth and Steven Kaske, graduated second in his class. He received the 4.0 honor roll for four years and served as president of the Beta Club, vice president of the National Honor Society, and captain of the Pearl River High tennis team. He was recognized as Most Outstanding Senior District 8 and Most Outstanding Student in English and Science. Brandon received an academic scholarship to Louisiana Tech University to study engineering. He graduated from Pearl River High with 18 dual matriculation hours.

Whitney Pullens, the daughter of Trisha Pullens, graduated third in her class. She was a four-year recipient of the 4.0 Honor Roll and was recently honored with the US Marine Corp Scholastic Excellence Award. Whitney was named Most Outstanding Student in Technical Education and Mathematics. She was a member of the Lady Rebels volleyball and softball team for four years and served as the team captain. Whitney received an academic scholarship to Nicholls State University, where she will study nursing. She graduated from Pearl River High with 26 hours of double enrollment.

allie fleming, the daughter of Tonya and James Fleming, placed fourth in her senior year. She was a four-year recipient of the 4.0 Honor Roll and was recently awarded the Hollis Davis Memorial Scholarship. Allie was a member of the Southern Sweethearts dance team during all four years of high school and served as team captain in her senior year. She received an academic scholarship to Southeastern Louisiana University, where she plans to pursue a nursing degree. Allie graduated from Pearl River High with 17 hours of double enrollment.

jessica smith, Rhonda Smith’s daughter, graduated fifth in her class. She was a four-year honoree recipient and was recently named Distinguished Student in Social Studies. Jessica represented Pearl River High School at the Louisiana State Literary Rally, where she placed ninth in English IV. She was a member of the Lady Rebels football team for three years and was selected to the first all-district team this year. Jessica received an academic scholarship to the University of New Orleans, where she plans to study forensic chemistry. She graduated from Pearl River High with 14 dual enrollment hours.

Abbygail Davis, the daughter of Erika and Jeremy Davis, ranks sixth in class. During her senior year, she served as President and State Representative for the Future Farmers of America program. Abbygail received the 4.0 Honor Roll for four years and was recently honored with the John Bel Edwards Livestock Award. She was a member of the Lady Rebels tennis team for four years and served as team captain in her senior year. Abbygail received an academic scholarship to LSU, where she will study animal science. She graduated from Pearl River High School with 19 hours of double enrollment.

Leila Pichon, the daughter of Lynn Pasalo and Jory Pichon, also graduated sixth in class. She was a four-year recipient of the 4.0 Honor Roll and received the District Attorney Outstanding Leadership Award in her senior year. She was a member of the Lady Rebels football team for all four years of high school and served as team captain in her senior year. Leila received an academic scholarship to the University of Southern Mississippi where she plans to study life sciences. She graduated from Pearl River High with 17 hours of double enrollment.

aaron simon, the son of Debbie and Ari Simon, graduated eighth in his class. He was a four-year honor roll recipient and served as captain of the Rebels’ bowling and football teams. Aaron was also selected to the First Team All-District in football. He represented Pearl River High in the Louisiana State Literary Rally, where he placed third in geometry. Aaron received an academic scholarship to the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, where he plans to pursue a degree in marketing. He graduated from Pearl River High with 18 dual matriculation hours.

lilith lodge, the daughter of Lucy and Carl Smith, graduated ninth in the class. She was a four-year honors recipient and recently received the US Army Community Service Excellence Award. While at Pearl River High, Lilith was an active member of the Southern Sweethearts dance team and the Talented Music and Theater programs. She received an academic scholarship to LSU where she plans to study kinesiology. Lilith graduated from Pearl River High with eight dual enrollment hours.

Jenny Castaneda, daughter of Holly Smith, placed 10th in her senior year. Jenny was a 4-year 4.0 Honor Roll recipient and was recently awarded the Louisiana Army National Guard Scholarship. She is a member of the organizations Beta and Facta Non Verba. Jenny recently enlisted in the Louisiana Army National Guard, where she serves as an intelligence analyst. After graduation, she plans to study biochemistry at Southeastern Louisiana University. She graduated from Pearl River High with 20 dual enrollment hours.

Madeline Gerstner, Glen Gerstner’s daughter, also 10th in her class. She was a four-year 4.0 Honor Roll recipient and was selected to receive the Principal’s Award. While at Pearl River High, Madeline was an active member of the Beta Club and the Lady Rebels softball and volleyball teams. She received an academic scholarship to the University of New Orleans, where she plans to study chemistry. Madeline graduated from Pearl River High with 14 dual enrollment hours.
