Apply to the CYP Pre-Teen/Middle School Summer Programs!

Cambridge Youth Programs (CYP) summer programs provide safe and fun programs for preschool and middle school children to connect with their peers, build leadership skills and explore a range of enriching activities in an inclusive environment. Below are CYP summer program descriptions and application links.

Applications will be accepted until Friday, April 1st. Families will be notified of their child’s placement in a camp or waiting pool.

  • The CYP summer programs are open to grades 4 through 8 ascending.
  • The programs run Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 5:30pm in three 2-week sessions.
  • Applications will be accepted through the DHSP’s Trax registration system by Friday, April 15th.
  • Individuals who apply are automatically placed in a waiting pool until a lottery is conducted for each program.
  • Families will be notified if their child will be offered a seat at camp or placed in the waiting pool for the week of April 25.
  • Program Cost: Affordable fees based on a tiered plan. Free for 8th graders! (show tuition)
  • DHSP staff are available to assist families with in-person applications Rollin’ and Summer Resources Event on Saturday 26 March at Cambridge Street Upper School / King Open Building. The event is open to priority families from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. and to all families from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m Register for the event.

Apply to the Discovery program at Russell Youth Center

Apply for the Empowerment Program at Frisoli Youth Center

Apply to the Sports Leadership Academy at Moore Youth Center

  • Open to Cambridge residents stepping up between the ages of 4 and 8th graders
  • Learn, practice, and develop skills for a variety of sports including soccer, basketball, swimming, tennis, and more! In addition to athletics, the program focuses on enrichment, scholarship and leadership building.

Apply to the Middle School Summer Program at Gately Youth Center

  • Open to Cambridge residents stepping up between the ages of 6 and 8th graders
